Facts about Bichon Frise

1) The French name of the breed means "curly coat" - certainly an apt description. 2) Formerly used as a circus dog and capable of learning a variety of tricks, in particular due to their excellent memory and desire to succeed. 3) There are frequent bouts of activity: Bichons suddenly starts zooming around, jumping, spinning in circles.

Description

These lively, cheerful little dogs love family life. They love to accompany their family on all outings, but they can be trained to be left alone sometimes. They socialize well and are great in the company of other dogs and pets. Although they are the smallest of all breeds, these dogs are active and fun companions. Their favorite thing to do is to spend time at home with their owners. They often become very attached to their humans and enjoy the comforts of home. They can make good little guard dogs. However, they also need regular exercise outside the home to keep them fit, healthy, and toned. Many of them are excellent at training and tend to be very fond of games.
