Facts about Yakutian Laika

The homeland of this breed is Russia. It originated without human intervention in the Yakutsk region. The history of this aboriginal breed is so ancient that it came to be more than 8 thousand years ago.

Description

The Yakutian Laikas are fluffy all-rounders, always ready to pull a sled through snowdrifts or catch a hunting trophy. The owner of these restless northerners must be ready to accompany their pet in all his activities, or, better yet, to connect several huskies to the process: these dogs don't like to work and rest in solitude. They also look very cute, so when walking along the street with a Yakutian Laika, prepare yourself to pique the curiosity of passers-by. These dogs have always been not only friends but also helpers of men. They could find the right way in the snow, keep their owners warm in severe frosts, and help their humans hunt. As sledding dogs, they transported both humans and cargo.
