Description

The Japanese Spitz dogs are snow-white, shaggy-haired wonder with fire in their eyes and a happy smile on their faces. The main purpose of the breed is to make friends and keep their humans company, and the dogs cope with this at the highest level. Inquisitive enough and emotionally reserved in a good way, the Japanese Spitz is an example of the perfect friend and companion that is always easy to be with. Mood swings, eccentric behavior, nervousness - all this is unusual and incomprehensible to the frisky Japanese Spitz that was born with a strategic stock of positive and excellent moods enough for the rest of their lives. Officially categorized as a northern sled dog. First introduced at dog shows in Japan in the 1920s-1930s. There are many versions about the origin of this breed. According to one, the Japanese Spitz are the result of selection when breeding dwarf Samoyeds. According to another, these dogs are descendants of German, Canadian, Australian, and American Spitzes and the the Norrbottenspets.
