Description
Border Collies are loyal and clever dogs, incredible workaholics that openly despise a passive lifestyle and delight in any activity involving extensive physical exercise. The ancestors of today’s Border Collies were excellent shepherds, so the passion for orderliness in these shaggy managers is in the blood. If there’s no flock of sheep nearby, a Border Collie will herd any other animal, and only an exciting game can distract him from this activity. These dogs are faithful friends, capable trainees, and unparalleled intellectuals. But it takes some work to help them unlock their full potential: a Border Collie isn’t a dog that will settle for a warm bed and a full bowl. Border Collies are freedom-loving. They can jump over fences or do a lot of digging. More often than not, these dogs will come back on their own when they’ve had enough exercise.
